Some dear friends are bringing a schooner up the coast to act as a support boat for the brave Mugamagw-Dzawada'enuxw, Nam'gis and Mamalilikulla people occupying fish farms in their territories, making a stand for the survival of their people and for wild salmon. The schooner will be arriving on Cortes on Wednesday night. If you have gifts or messages of love and support you'd like to send up with the boat, please call me at 8598 to arrange drop off/collection.

Just wanted to reply to Gretchen and anyone else who might also have this question. We are specifically working to support First Nation communities who have directly invited us and who are evicting fish farms that are operating illegally on their territories. This will continue to be the focus of our fundraising and activism. I am more than happy to answer any other questions or to talk about these issues with people who have interest. Please send me an email if you'd like to arrange a time to chat.

What about the First Nations who contract the farms to be on their land as primary employers? Will they be visiting those farms as well?
