Monica Nawrocki is an author and teacher living on Cortes Island, BC (where Full Moon Lagoon takes place). She is a substitute teacher at the Cortes Island School (but the fun kind). She loves to walk in the forest, or on the beach. She loves to read, and of course, she loves to make stories. In the summertime, she swims around Turtle Island in Hague Lake almost every day.
