On behalf of the CIBATA – LEAP Steering Committee a big thank you to everyone who completed the Cortes Island Local Economic Action Plan Survey - we had a total of 225 people take part. Well beyond our expectations! Thank you to everyone for taking the time to respond to the survey – especially in this busy summer season!
We would also like to give a special thanks to BC Ferries, in particular Captain Gordon Nettleton and his crew for helping to promote the survey to ferry passengers – thanks so much - you did an awesome job!
The results of the survey are being analyzed and will be published in the fall in the lead up to our Community Economic Plan Forum, which is being held on Oct 21st at Linnaea Farm. The Public forum will be chance for you to hear about the results of the survey, and share your ideas on how we as a community can move forward with developing some new economic initiatives for the island!
