We are Making a Community Quilt!
hɛkʷ čɛ θ tuwa? // Where do you come from? // d'où venez-vous
We’re Making a Community Quilt // Sew, stitch, glue, cut, paint, draw, embroider and otherwise ornament your square while reflecting on our guiding meditation: hɛkʷ čɛ θ tuwa // where do you come from? Drop your finished square off at the Museum by September 15th, along with a little story about your design. All of the squares will be stitched together into a big community quilt and displayed alongside the stories from each of the square makers.
Pickup your square from the Cortes Museum. And drop off your finished square with a short story about your design at the Cortes Museum by Sept. 15.
There will be public stitching event and a complete quilt will be displayed for everybody to enjoy.

Rejoignez-nous pour faire une quilt communautaire // Utilisez couture, broderie, colle, découpage, peinture, dessin, ou tout autre média pour décorer votre carré, tout en réfléchissant sur notre méditation guidée, “hɛkʷ čɛ θ tuwa // d'où venez-vous?” Déposez les carrés au Musée avant le 15 Septembre avec une courte histoire le décrivant. Les carrés seront cousus ensemble pour former une courtepointe de la communauté qui sera exposée avec les histoires de chacun.

Squares in your choice of the colours red, white, or aqua can be picked up at the Museum or the Friday market along with a size template and instructions.
