The spirit of community and generosity is alive and well here on our island. The auction contributations are overwhelming. Unfortunately the dinner tickets sales are underwhelming so to entice you to run out and purchase you tickets today here is a preview of the evening:
A sit down dinner starting with a tarted up HH salad with several of their world famous dressings. Coop supplied bread to be toasted into garlic/parmesan perfection. Corn pasta shells adorned with an old family pasta sauce recipe. Both vegetarian and meat (from Linnaea farm) followed by tea and coffee and a very popular banana chocolate cake served after the main course prior to the live auction by our master auctioneer George Sirk. After we have lightened your pockets of all that heavy money you can dance to Contra music played (ferries permitting) by the Merry Mckentys. No alcohol will be offered for sale by the organizers so be responsible.
Kenny Hanuse will sing a welcoming song and later a healing song. The kirtan group will lead us in a few pre-dinner chants to whet our appetites.
Please remember that this is an event to show support and offer healing energies to Our friend David. ❤️
This meal will be gluten free
If you have a corn intolerance there will be a small amount of rice pasta cooked. Children under 12, dinners included with adult ticket. Children over 12, by donation.
You are also welcome at 7:30 pm to participate in the auction, with complimentary dessert.
