44 acre Coulter Island is fully forested and located at the entrance to Coulter Bay along the western shoreline of Cortes Island. The island is jointly owned in 4 shares and strategically divided into private sections of approx. 7.8 acres each with a 12 acre common area in the centre. Lot A on the NW tip of the island has beautiful mature forest of fir, cedar, hemlock and arbutus and approx. 1400ft of primarily easy-access low bank shoreline. 180 degree views take in the majestic mainland mountains, Sutil Channel, Read Island and the Strathcona Park mountains on Vancouver Island. The original home, approx. 1600sqft, was built in the late 1990s. In approx. 2005 the current owners added an enclosed breezeway and a new great room that provides an additional 1100sqft of living area. The open concept design includes the main living room, kitchen and dining area with vaulted ceilings and skylights. The kitchen has substantial counter space and cabinetry. There are two bedrooms; both with direct access to outside and one with a walk-through closet leading to a three-piece ensuite/laundry room combination.
