Friends of Cortes Island invite you to join us for our ‘
Introduction to Bird Language’ event
Sunday 30 April 7.30 -9.30am.There is a universal language shared by many birds and animals. Many indigenous cultures learned this language very successfully in order to help them locate food and help them stay safe. To them it is common knowledge. To the modern naturalist it is like a coded language that reveals the secrets of nature.
Join Arnaud Gagne for instruction on the basic patterns of bird language and a facilitated bird sit. This morning workshop will be steeped in the 8 shields cultural elements, and will be taking place at Smelt Bay.
This event is suitable for Ages 15+. Participants need to be willing and able to sit still and quiet for up to an hour.
Refreshments: We will be providing yummy gluten free muffins; please bring your own beverage.
Cost: $10 – payment taken at event.
