Thursday, May 4th, 7 - 8pm, Pioneer Room, Manson's Hall - Sue Hall author of 'Fish Don't Climb Trees' is coming to Cortes from Vancouver and offering an information evening.
As a mother, Sue was puzzled why her bright son struggled at school. In Fish Don’t Climb Trees she describes her journey into the murky world of learning challenges. She discovered the reason for his frustrations and the solutions.
18 years later, having worked with individuals who have dyslexia, she believes every child is learning able, they just need to be taught in a way they can learn. If the reasons for the problems are removed, the problems cease to exist.
Sue enjoys shifting the perception of dyslexia from a disability to a gift. As you discover the wonderful dyslexic mind — you might find you will want to be dyslexic too ! See you there !
