Our BioBlitz Fundraiser - THIS WEEKEND - has something for everyone!

Doors open at Gorge Hall 6:30 pm on Saturday, March 11 for you to view the great silent auction items available for purchase. Dinner is served at 7:oo pm but we will be accepting spaghetti sauce stained bids throughout the evening until 8:15, when we will announce the winning bidders. Then the silence ends and the music begins

In preparation for the upcoming garden season, our silent auction donations include gardeners for hire, seeds to sow, pruning instruction and then there are local artworks, a package from TwinComm, great Bed & Breakfast accommodation for guests and even a truckload of firewood out in the parking lot!

We are raising travel funds to bring professional resource people to our 2017 Bioblitz in the Children's Forest, April 28, 29, 30. We have just received confirmation from not 1, not 2, not 4, but 7...yes 7, entomologists!! We have long wished for some natural history expertise in the insect realm and we are going to get it in spades; beetle, spider and moth expertise is coming to Cortes!!!

So stop by and put in a bid on your way home from the ferry, stay for dinner or just drop by for the music later in the evening. Visiting bands, Roadside Rattle and Kesu, start up at 8:30 pm.

Dinner/ music tickets on sale at Gorge Harbour Marina Store and the Cortes Natural Food Coop; 15.00 per person & 35.00 for a family of 4.

The 2017 BioBlitz and BioBlitz Fundraiser are sponsored by the Forest Trust for the Children of Cortes Island Society; check us out at
