Help shape land use on Cortes Island!
First round of questionnaire results will be downloaded and compiled today, Friday, March 31 However, we will leave the questionnaire open for anyone who hasn't been able to respond and add those last questionnaire responses to the results prior to the next public meetings, tentatively planned for May.
More on that to come soon!

The on-line questionnaire on topics related to the zoning bylaw update is posted at
Paper copies are available at the Cortes post offices, Manson's Hall office and the library.

If your internet connection speed allows, I would appreciate it if you could complete the questionnaire on-line to be able to generate a summary of the results quicker.

The questionnaire follows up on the discussions, questions, ideas and suggestions raised by Cortes Islanders at the December 1, 2016 public meeting on the zoning bylaw update. Topics include density (# of permitted dwellings), tiny homes, protection of the forest land base, agriculture, aquaculture, environmental protection, nuisance and noise bylaws, and bylaw enforcement to list just the main ones.

Notes from the December 1, 2016 public meeting as well as Frequently Asked Questions are posted at A compilation of questionnaire responses and dates for upcoming public meetings will also be posted on that page, as well as on the tideline and posters around Cortes.

The questionnaire was open until Friday, March 31.Thank you for participating in the questionnaire!
More info please.

I don't want to open the survey without knowing whether I can pause, if need be, or restart another time. I have no idea how long it is or how much I will need to think about some of the questions. A bit more info would be helpful.
