Great Food and Great Conversations!

Please join the Cortes Island Business and Tourism Association (CIBATA) for a Learning Lunch on Thursday Dec 8th Noon – 1:30 pm at the Cortes Natural Food Co-op Café.

Our new bi-monthly Learning Lunch series is designed to bring together Cortes Island citizens who are interested in building a healthy, sustainable economy and improved quality of life on the island through local networking and shared learning.

The Learning Lunches are designed first and foremost as a citizen connector, providing a great opportunity over lunch to hear from guest speakers, updates on important local and regional initiatives, and the introduction of new and existing business owners and non-profit groups contributing to our Cortes community.

Why Are you Promoting Cortes ?

And this is what our tax dollars are being used for ?
I'm amazed and frankly appalled that this glossy piece of saccharine is being promoted by the CIBATA. Do you not realize the devastating effects of excessive tourism ? I could list a lot of places that have lost their character because they were overly sold and promoted. You can never get it back. Promote this island by word of mouth by all means but not this. Please not this
