Calling all young & keen streamkeepers!
Our November forest walk/nature study day will focus on stream walking and salmon counting. Last Sunday, we counted 22 live chum and 39 mortes (dead fish), and one red coho in James Creek. We are especially interested in finding the elusive coho, so sharp young eyes are needed.
Rubber boots and a sturdy walking staff would be a huge asset.
Bring a lunch, thermos of hot tea & raingear.
Parents, this is your chance to unload extra Halloween candy.
Children & adults welcome. Please, no dogs.
Departure at the Coulter Bay trailhead at 10:00 am, which will feel like 11:00 am because of the time change on Saturday night.
