In my quest to learn more about electric vehicle technology (electric bikes, cars, motorcycles), I came across "Revenge of the Electric Car" (2011) - directed by the same guy who brought us "Who Killed the Electric Car?" (2006), Chris Payne. In this new documentary, he follows auto makers as they race each other to create the first, best, and most publicly accepted electric cars for the new car market. Click on the link above to stream the entire feature.
How can Cortes Island support transition to this new technology? Are electric vehicles the next step as gas vehicles are phased out? Will prices for electric vehicles continue to drop, and will they enter the used car market, becoming more affordable? Will people try out and love e-bikes more and more?
On that note, here is a short and sweet trailer on electric cargo bikes, check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVjFq0Yni0I
We're really looking forward to seeing YOU at our Transportation Study Open House this week-! Wednesday, November 2, at the Gorge Hall, 6 to 8 pm. Bring your helpful, constructive feedback on the study, and your transportation ideas for our island. Max Thaysen and I will be there, along with our counterpart Jason Potter from Bunt&Associates Transportation Planning and Engineering.
Finally, if you're super-keen, watch "Future Transportation Electric Car Documentary 2016," which contains the most up-to-date EV technology: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ca9X5hhVod4
