We saw this outstanding performance on the opening night of “Eating Sunlight” at School House Gallery, the last show of the 2016 season.
Joy Kerfoot, Jennifer Mcleish-Lewis, and Hannu Huuskonen entertained us with a contact dance and soundscape that lasted 1/2 an hour. Thoughts that entered my mind while they led us through the journey were the awakening, the birth, the rising from the constraints. Finally everyone participated by adding a stone to an altar beneath the hanging/painting on the room divider.
Joy’s painting that leads this article epitomizes the feminine and the awakening I sensed in the performance. Artistically, Joy’s work is luminous and mystical and brings to mind some of the works of artist and poet, William Blake, 1757 – 1827.
Don’t miss this last event in the Old Schoolhouse Gallery in Whaletown this Sunday 2 - 6 PM
Repeat dance/sound performances will start at 2:30 each day.

Thank you Richard, for this thoughtful review : )
We are very much enjoying this 3 day ceremony of sorts…and will be closing the circle on Sunday at 6pm. I would like to give great thanks and love to all who have added their presence to the prayer, and all who have supported the making and creating of this nourishing space.
Deep Bows to All,
Exquisite performance and show!
