Love Cortes? Help us keep it wild and beautiful

Join Friends of Cortes Island’s 25th Anniversary Appeal. We’re aiming to raise $25,000 to support our vital environmental stewardship work and to help keep Cortes wild, beautiful and sustainable.

From its rich forests and stunning coastline, to its wealth of endangered species, Cortes is a very special place. Help us make sure it stays that way for years to come.

25 Years of Environmental action – an enduring legacy
For two and a half decades Friends of Cortes has worked hard to protect, monitor and care for Cortes’s precious natural environment, while encouraging people to live in harmony with this amazing place we all call home.

From mapping trails, surveying marine life, monitoring the health of our lakes, to caring for our precious Regional Parks and running skill-building educational programs, we have much to be proud of.

Dreaming about the future
We have accomplished a lot but there’s even more critical work to do. We intend to continue our important Parks, Marine, Steam and Lake Stewardship work and develop new projects to preserve and enhance other sensitive ecosystems and species risk.

We’re also on a mission to connect more people with nature through new events and activity programs. You may have already enjoyed some of these this summer!

Our Goal
We want to raise $25,000. Our deadline is the end of the year. Donations of any size are very welcome and much appreciated. Each will help give Cortes a greener future. Please consider contributing what you can.
