The Squirrel Cove cutblocks of the Community Forest are open for individuals with permits to gather firewood for personal use as of Weds. July 27.

The permit is free of change and entitles each household to a maximum of 6 cords of wood. This firewood is for personal use, not for sale.
Firewood cutting is at your own risk – please use appropriate safety gear and, as always, be aware of the risk of wildfire. Firewood cutting will be suspended during any periods of extreme fire risk.
All waste wood within cut blocks (SQ 1, 2, 3, & 5) and along the right-of-way is available to free-use permit holders.
No falling of any standing live or dead trees is permitted. Please do not remove windfall or other downed wood from beyond the timber edge.
