Strathcona Community Health Network Launch
You are invited June 26th

Strathcona Regional District, Intertribal Health Authority, Kwakiutal District Council, The First Nations Health Authority, the Campbell River and District Division of Family Practice and Island Health, are co-hosting a community forum on June 26th to begin exploratory discussions about the development of a Community Health Network for the Strathcona Region, which includes the communities of Gold River, Tahsis, Zeballos, Sayward and Campbell River – and the electoral areas within the region including Cortes Island.

Community health networks bring together people from wide-ranging backgrounds, roles and perspectives to take action on issues that impact health and well-being in their communities. The focus is on complex issues—ones that require larger, connected groups to make a difference.

The best community health networks are community-owned and driven, where participants share a commitment to helping people in their region attain the highest possible level of health and well-being.

We invite anyone who is interested to join us on June 26th to discover how a Community Health Network could address the many factors that influence health in the Strathcona region. The meeting will be held at the Thunderbird Hall in Campbell River from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

RSVP by June 19th at or by calling 250-830-6711

Wishing you all the very best this early summer season!
