On behalf of Klahoose First Nation, we thank you!
Klahoose First Nation would like to extend our deepest thanks to the Cortes Island Community who came out to support our fundraiser. For those who could not make the event, but still showed their support with donations, we thank you.
We raise our hands to Erik Blaney who traveled from Tla’ammin to be our auctioneer; Erik brought life to the gala with his humour and storytelling. A thank you also to Ken Hanuse for his welcoming song We would also like to thank everyone who generously donated the items that were auctioned; Benny Lessard , Kenny Hanuse, Campbell River Restaurant supply, Alterra Power, A&A Trading Guy Bentley, Ted McKellar, Toq’ Woodworks & Klahoose Candle Creations. Thank you Cortes Island Radio, Cortes Tideline & the Klahoose website for advertising our event. Thank you to Island Seafarms for donating the mussels and Dan Hilton for preparing them. Thanks to Outlandish Shellfish for their donation of oysters.
Hands raised to Klahoose staff and community members who participated in this effort, a huge team effort. This Fundraiser has set a bar that we wish to continue to meet; our efforts would not have been such a success without each and every one of you who took part.
Hands Raised and a heartfelt thank you. E:mot!
