The Cortes Natural Food Co-op (CNFC) board is seeking to hire an individual to coordinate the 2014 Capital Campaign on behalf of the CNFC membership.

Areas of Responsibility:

• Plan, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate development activities, including, but not limited to: membership, private sector fundraising, and special events
• Organize and oversee volunteers
• Oversee communications (both correspondence and publicity) for fundraising and Capital Campaign activities
• Ensure donor acknowledgment, appreciation and promotion, when appropriate
• Provide reports, analysis and recommendations to the Board of Directors and/or Fundraising Committee as required
• Attend meetings and host public information sessions as needed
• Manage record keeping
• Write a monthly e-news article

Required Skills and Experience:
• Project and/or event management experience with demonstrated leadership qualities
• Experience in managing budgets
• Excellent knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software (e.g. MS Office Suite, OpenOffice, etc.)
• Attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and professional skills and the ability to communicate and work with the Board of Directors, volunteers, donors and sponsors.
• Critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills
• Experience working with confidential and sensitive information
• Ability to delegate
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task & meet deadlines

*Experience in fundraising highly desirable

This is a part-time (12 hours/ week) contract position scheduled to run from late March through June 2014, with the possibility of extension.
