The 2026 community firewood program has been a success, with an estimated 60 cords of free firewood delivered to seniors and community members in need, with an additional eighteen provided to the Klahoose Elders for personal use.

The CFGP would like to extend appreciation to everyone who helped out. While there were too many volunteers to name everyone, Bill Wheeler, Ron Wolda, Henry Verschuur, James Foster, Ian Ross and Chelsea Rutledge deserve special recognition for going above and beyond to take time out of their busy schedules to ensure community members are warm in the coming winter.
