The Cortes Island Academy (CIA) is an innovative, place-based secondary (Grade 10-12) program that brings together award-winning scientists, thought-leaders, and artists as facilitators in project-based learning. Position Overview
CIA is seeking an Education Coordinator to support and enhance our innovative programs. This role involves working closely with local facilitators, the Cortes Island School principal, and reports directly to the CIA Executive/Creative Director. The coordinator will : manage communications (i.e. outreach to other programs and schools, newsletters, managing the on-line student platform, advertising, social media, promotional materials, and the annual application process); assist in expanding the program (i.e. developing the second semester blended program, the development of a land-based Grade 8/9 program, organizing
