I recently went thru the set up of guitar and it plays well and is a reasonable guitar overall.

1970s/80s Japanese Taro Les Paul Copy with DiMarzio pickup split and phased in bridge position. Comes with new set of 010 strings, 2-3 Jim Dunlop .076 picks, leather strap, brass nut, split/phased humbucker by DiMarzio and choice of tuner.

the 78ish Taro Japan made Les Paul Black Beauty w/gold finish copy is a guitar I've owned over 40 years that I split and phased the DiMarzio on which is where the value in this guitar is; the DiMarzio pickup itself. I was told it was a L&M DiMarzio super distortion back in 85 that was a couple years old at time. Recent investigation online said it was and wasn't..it has a K ohm reading of about 8.4 k ohms which AI told me wasn't and then was a SD DiMarzio based on description..so I don't know for sure but it sounds good and this is what you're paying for in the LP BB copy whether its a DM SD or DM Super2.
