Notices, Workshops & Rides: Distilling Plant Medicines
Hello Neighbours
I am putting some feelers out to see if there are folks who would like to collaborate this spring/summer on distilling some plant medicines. I have been distilling plants for many years, previously owning a herbal apothecary, and using much of what I distilled to make organic skin care products. We are transitioning from part timers of Cortes to full time this March and I am starting my gardens from scratch. This means that until I’m established I will be looking for folks who have an abundance of herbs who would like to turn them into beautiful essential oils and hydrosols. I’m open to exploring different ways that trades can be made as well as experimenting with plants I may not have worked with before. Here is a list of some of my favourites; stinging nettle, spearmint, peppermint, lavender, rosemary, lemon balm, sage, geranium, calendula, chamomile, and my personal all-time favourite is the buds from the cottonwood trees harvested in the winter but I have yet to see a cottonwood tree here.
