as the New Year dawns I reflect upon years of service given mostly for free pumping out, rescuing boats heading for the bottom in Gorge Harbour.
6 decades my focus has been recycle repurpose renew restore.. things that others discard.
There is no market for these items and an ever growing salvage repaired resurrected inventory is now available mostly for free.

Some vessels in Gorge seeking the bottom I have prevented sinking avert an expensive disruption to Aqua Culture farmers with an ecological impact to which there has been no benefit to me.

I'm no longer going to rescue or pump out boats seeking bottom. If boats sink and fuel or oil spills others will have to face the impact.

Preventing small disasters has been a thankless and fruitless endeavor that risks my safety, my equipment and incurred costs to operate machinery.
