The Cortes Island Academy students are doing podcasting again this year. These young journalists produce feature length podcasts featuring experts and causes that matter to them and the community. Topics in the past have ranged eg. the power and dangers of psychedelics as therapy, a deep exploration of ant behaviours, the legacy of Cortes Community Forestry, gender and identity, and more. Do you have an organization, idea, or cause you’d like to pitch to our student journalists for this year? They do the work, have professional editors and artists overseeing them, and you can help shape the content.At the end there’s e a wonderful and informative podcast that can live on your website and will also live on ours and be played on Cortes Community radio. There are so many ideas and organizations and interesting people on this island, come on out! Remember, they do the work. You help shape it. Fun!
