A diverse collection of art and poetry in which Cortes Island Children explore identity opened Friday 21st at the Old Schoolhouse Gallery.

The show was expertly coordinated by Tara Warkentin and opening night saw some 90 people attend and thoroughly enjoy the works by children from 2 to 16 years old.

Refresh yourself and visit the gallery, This Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23, 2 to 6 PM

This coming Friday June 28, 6 to 9 PM, Kristen Scholfield-Sweet will offer an informative gallery walk, a non-judgmental look at the art works in the show by noticing composition, color, space and message. Discussion and questions will be encouraged.

This show will continue and finish Saturday and Sunday, June 29, 30, 2 to 6 PM.

Next up at the Old Schoolhouse Gallery is an All Members Show, July 5 to 14.

CONGRATULATIONS to Tara and all the kids participating in this exhibit !

It is so good to see the Gallery is so alive, with a growing artist community and the continuos support from the entire community.
