Only yesterday did I notice that CHS is asking for the current zoning allowing 23 units to be built on the first 5 acres with that zoning be increased to 35 units on 5 acres. Now, today, I have received an email telling me that this zoning of 32 units per 5 acres applies to the entire 51 acres comprising Rainbow Ridge. OUTRAGED
In the beginning, the purchase of the 51 acres was celebrated and presented as land that would be used in the future by the community for whatever the community decided they wanted to use it for. Where is the community input saying we want what is happening now? It is almost like someone is railroading our community to fulfill some "let's make a little city" fantasy. My life has already been negatively affected by the clear cut beside my house which has taken away a barrier for sound, wind, and dust. Plus the peaceful nature of the Senior's Village.
