Cortes Island Academy (CIA) is a place-based secondary program (Grades 10–12) on the traditional territories of the Klahoose, Tla’amin, and Homalco Nations. We offer transformative, project-based education led by award-winning scientists, artists, and thought leaders. CIA is hiring an Education Coordinator to support and grow our innovative programs. This dynamic role involves program coordination, communications, grant writing, and occasional teaching. The ideal candidate is highly organized, passionate about education, skilled in writing and outreach, and experienced in community-based or experiential learning. Responsibilities include managing communications (social media, newsletters, online platforms), supporting program expansion (Grade 8/9, blended semester, adult programs), coordinating with schools and facilitators, and leading grant writing/reporting. This part-time role (25–32 hrs/week, 10 months/year) is primarily in-person (Sept–Feb) with flexible spring/summer options. Pay is $25–$30/hr with extended benefits.
