Buy, Sell & Trade: Mushroom talk
I am hosting an informal mushroom talk at my place later in the week.
This is not a foraging event; I will have collected mushrooms for us to look at and discuss, and I encourage participants to bring any that they have found and are curious about.
We will look at some common and easily identifiable local mushrooms, both edible and poisonous, as well as dye mushrooms and others of interest. We will having a tasting of some mushrooms that are abundant right now. And we will learn to identify pine mushrooms. Its a great pine year, and this iconic mushroom is easily recognizable once you have learned it's distinguishing characteristics.
When: Thursday, Oct. 31, 1.00 pm---3 pm approx.
Where: 504 Sutil Point Road (number is posted on the phone pole); the cabin on the right side of the yard.
Bring: notebook and pen; folding chair if desired, we will be standing in the yard
Dress warmly, talk will be held outdoors. This is a weather dependent event, and will be canceled in the event of rain.
