In celebration of the wisdom life has given me throughout my journey of sobriety, I reflect upon the days when I looked around and saw what I would become if i did not change. 1000 days oh how they have changed everything for me. In honour of the concept “Love yourself” I share this poem I’ve written

Grace & gratitude

Life brings us together for a reason
For a lifetime or a season
Sharing conversation we share space
Going deep we are more than just a face
We get excited sometimes falling down
No reason to be looked at with a frown
We are humans in existence of our trauma
Most all people mean no harm nor drama
We try our best to have compassion
So we can understand before our action
When mindful is our attitude
We share grace & gratitude
