Notices, Workshops & Rides: The Dancing Mushroom
MAITAKE (Grifola frondosa) , is almost unheared of in BC but more common in the East. A large specimen was found underneath an oak tree in East Van by Willoughby Arevalo and he had brought it to the exhibition at VMS. With his permission I took home a small tissue to clone and propagate.
After two years of trying I have finally brought this mushroom to fruition. And it sure got me dancing. Patience, faith and persistence are the requirements for cultivating this mushroom and the delicious fruits are indeed rewarding.
If you are interested in having this mushroom, I have a very limited amount growing now and will be making larger batches for near future. Please let me know via email.
