Notices, Workshops & Rides: Local Bike Shop - Dandy Horse Bikes
I am considering closing my bike shop down permanently. Besides the 50% reduction in sales last year, and now the assumed lockdown this coming summer, it has become very difficult to purchase inventory due to a worldwide shortage of bicycle parts and the subsequent rise in prices. One viable solution is to pre-book a year's worth of parts, but it requires a $5000 minimum order. Does anybody have any suggestions? Is there anybody who would like to pre-order bike parts at wholesale prices (50%)? Or perhaps purchase service in advance with a wholesale-price-for-parts bonus? Maybe there are some bike mechanics on the island who would like to lock in these wholesale prices as they continue to rise. I thoroughly enjoy running this little business and I would be sad to see it fold. Dandy Horse Bikes has been open 8 years and is my way of contributing to the Cortes community and the world. I am open to any suggestions.
