Launched in 1992, the motor sailor Misty Isles has her heritage in the classic beauty of a gaff rigged schooner and in the functional seaworthiness of a west coast troller. She is the only vessel on Cortes Island other than the ferry that is Canada Marine Safety inspected and certified to carry passengers. At 43 feet (13m) length on deck and of very heavy construction, Misty Isles provides safe and comfortable transport for up to 12 guests on our marine adventures. She has ample seating on deck (with optional shade/rain cover)and the pilot house has big windows so that you can watch the scenery go by as you relax, enjoy an onboard lunch, or chat with the captain. She also has a main cabin with two large double bunks for our multi-day voyages. Being traditionally rigged, there are lots of lines to heave on and we encourage our guests to get hands on experience in sailing her when there is enough wind.
