Notices, Workshops & Rides: FRR#91 Celebrant, Jennifer Lee, Comox
Join me at Free Range Radio this Sunday Jan 3, 730pm to 930pm on CKTZ 89.5 FM or cortesradio.ca; as I interview old friend and Celebrant Jennifer Lee from Comox, Her website is https://www.lifecycleceremony.ca/
As folks move further away from the organized religions, their desire for ceremony has not diminished. Thus the role of Celebrant has filled the niche left by the traditional Priest, Rabbi or Judge.
The demand for individuated ceremonies is ever increasing. Jennifer Lee,certified by the Celebrant Institute, works with her clients to fashion a meaningful celebration whether it be a wedding, funeral, tribute or even an elopement!
I have known Jennifer and her husband Blake for over 20 years. They operated the iconic Skoki Lodge, 11 KM behind Lake Louise for over 15 years. She has cooked and gardened in the Rockies and on West Coast. Always taking time to write poetry, act and live what could be called a laborious and contemplative life.
Join us for an informal hunt and peck chat into the human spirit’s need for ceremony, defining ‘liminal’ space in the time of data deals and of course every poet’s dilemma the ever present search for the muse…
