Notices, Workshops & Rides: Aussie Zoologists/wildlife lovers seeking Cortes Naturalists
Hi Cortes folk, We’re an Aussie husband and wife team of Zoologists and environmental educators who are visiting friends on Cortes for most of September. We’re excited that we’ll soon be immersed in an entirely new ecosystem full of critters that we know little to nothing about and are keen to hang out with local naturalists to talk wildlife! Is this you? As well as meeting local wildlife buffs, we’d love to meet a salamander, garter snake, hummingbird, great horned owl, invertebrates, frogs, mammals, really any and all locals. We can offer tales and knowledge and excellent photographic slideshows of Aussie wildlife, bad puns and good company. My husband Alex is a field ecologist who’s expertise is in Australian reptiles and amphibians and together we write educational wildlife poetry books and run Primary School environmental education programs. I also create video poems and wildlife songs. Check out our website for cool Aussie animal content. We’ll be on Bluejay from the 3rd to 23rd of September. Hope to meet you!
