Jan's creations are borne from colours, textures, patterns or themes that catch her mind's eye. Jan's first love is quilts which vary from the whimsical compilation of a kindergartener's self portraits , to the embellishment of another person's square in a round robin quilt, to the creation of the coexistence of the four elements: earth, wind, water and fire.

Jan's creations are not limited to quilts. She also makes linens (placemats, napkins, and runners) for everyday and special occasions. She loves working with Batik fabric as well as the hand-dyed fabrics she creates.
