Notices, Workshops & Rides: You Are Not Anonymous
In a city like Vancouver, someone can post anonymous attacks with some assurance their identity remains secret. Cortes Island is smaller. When I read attack posts, I automatically associate them with specific individuals. Two or three names immediately come to mind when there are references to phone calls or emails to a neighbouring Regional Director. Some of their associates may also be involved. Only one name comes to mind when I see those silly little cartoons in the Cortes Marketer. You are not anonymous.

The deeds you thought you did in secrecy are becoming known. The legal system, island bylaws, anonymous posts and public officials are not meant to be your personal weapons. There are times when resorting to these means is legitimate, but not like this.

Personally, I think the only way to deal with those who do nasty deeds in the dark is to turn the lights on.

How can we bring healing to Cortes Island?

The first step would seem to be bringing an end to these nasty deeds done under the cloak of anonymity.

If you have legitimate concerns, bring them forward openly. Take responsibility for your actions If you know you cannot win big arguments, maybe scale down your objectives to something that is achievable and might make the inevitable change more palatable.
