Children's Forest Trust
I grow out of old trees,
I grow in different shapes,
I am almost everywhere,
What am I?
Join us on October 4, always the first Sunday of each month for a monthly forest walk into the Children's Forest, rain or shine, unless strong winds are blowing. We will be checking creek levels and any early signs of salmon returning to spawn. We’ll be on the lookout for emerging fungi and newts & frogs on the move.
Meet at 10:00 am at the Carrington Bay/Children’s Forest trailhead on Coulter Bay Road. Best to wear gumboots and bring a hearty lunch. We’ll be on the lookout for emerging fungi and newts on the move. Bring a friend, a neighbor, or a stanger, but please leave dogs at home out of respect for wild creatures.
