Cortes Housing Society
The Cortes Housing Society (CHS) is seeking a Property Manager to help manage our growing portfolio of community housing and develop new property management services for homeowners on Cortes Island.

The Property Manager will be responsible for the management of Rainbow Ridge, the Seniors Village, and Orchard Village, while also helping CHS develop property management services for private homeowners on Cortes.

The Property Manager will:

Manage the tenanting of CHS homes, including coordination of vacancies, applications, and move-ins

Lead tenant relations and support positive, respectful relationships within CHS housing communities

Coordinate and manage contractors and service providers

Work closely with CHS maintenance staff to identify and address property needs

Develop capital maintenance plans and associated budgets

Oversee and help develop CHS housing and property management policies

Support budgeting, record keeping, and other administrative aspects of property management

Help develop property management services that CHS can offer to private homeowners on Cortes Island

This is a property management position and does not involve performing maintenance work directly.

We are looking for someone who is:

Comfortable working with computers and common office software

Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple priorities

A strong communicator who is comfortable working with tenants, contractors, staff, and community members

Entrepreneurial and interested in helping develop new services

Able to work independently while collaborating closely with the CHS team

Previous property management experience would be an asset, but CHS is willing to provide funding for relevant training and professional development for the successful candidate.

This is expected to be a part-time, salaried position, with the scope and hours tailored to the successful candidate's experience and availability.

Compensation is expected to be approximately $45,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and agreed-upon time commitment.

Interested candidates are invited to email a resume to infocortescommunityhousing.org.

Questions and requests for additional information are also welcome at the same email address.
