Cortes Island Foundation
Our 10,000 Acts of Care campaign has come to a close, and together we counted an incredible 8,304 acts of care across Cortes. While we didn’t quite reach 10,000, what we uncovered was something even more meaningful: thousands of everyday moments of generosity, neighbourliness, stewardship, and community that often happen quietly and without recognition.
Thank you to everyone who shared an act, cared for a neighbour, volunteered, tended the land, supported a local organization, or helped us make this invisible infrastructure of care a little more visible. 8,304 acts are worth celebrating—and we know they represent only a fraction of the care that happens here every day.
And congratulations to Erica Kohn, whose Act of Care was randomly drawn to receive gift certificates to Hollyhock’s day spa! A big thank you to Hollyhock for generously donating this wonderful prize and helping us celebrate the many ways Cortes cares.
