Hello Folks,
August is always busy on Cortes, but WOW! what a summer.
We at Cortes Community Radio have served burgers to a sold out Mansons Hall, continue to produce weekly concerts at the Village Commons Pavilion, and helped deliver one of my all time favorite Love Fest's to date!
It's a great reminder of just how much happens on Cortes, and how important it is to have a community radio station helping to connect it all.
We’re proud to support and promote musicians, performers, and DJs, and create opportunities for people to come together and celebrate.
Every day our volunteers and staff are also working behind the scenes to keep the community informed with local news, weather, event listings, community announcements, while producing some of the best music radio shows in the country.
Doing all this takes a lot of work, and we need your help to stay on top of staffing, equipment, and technology to keep things running day to day.
If you value having local radio on Cortes Island, please consider making a donation today. Every contribution helps us cover those core costs and continue doing what we do best: keeping Cortes connected, informed and engaged.
You can donate by e-transfer or credit card through our website:
cktz.caIt’s pretty amazing what this little radio station can accomplish because of the people who believe in it: our volunteers, listeners, local musicians, community organizations and supporters.
Thank you for listening and supporting your local community radio station,
With appreciation,
Bryan McKinnon
