Due to the busy summer season, the number of non-essential vehicles accessing the Manson’s Landing wharf head has increased exponentially and there have been multiple instances of vehicles being left unattended, blocking access to the dock for emergency service vehicles.

The Manson’s dock plays a vital role in our community, as it is the evacuation dock for medical emergencies requiring hospitalization that occur outside of ferry service hours. To ensure clear and immediate access to the dock for our ambulance and emergency responder staff, a traffic bollard will be installed at the top of the approach, limiting vehicle access to the facility to essential vehicles only.
