Open Call to join our NEW senior planning committee.

We are looking for seniors in the community that would like to join our senior planning committee. This is a new initiative and we would like to hear your ideas.

This will be a monthly online gathering where we talk about the kind of free programs for seniors you would like to see on Cortes in the fall and winter with additional get togethers if wanted/needed. We are looking for seniors that are interested in brainstorming ideas or researching options or planning with facilitators or ....

For example:

• Exercise classes?
• Dementia workshop?
• Scam protection/education?
• Music?
• Art?

This initiative is part of the The Cortes Island Healthy Aging Project which is funded by the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program.

Our regular Better at Home Program continues as well.
This program is subsidy based on household income and subsidy is provided on a sliding scale.
