DeathCare Collective
June 25th, 2026 6:00–8:00 PM Mansons Hall
The DeathCare Collective invites you to join us for a meaningful evening of connection, reflection, and inspiration.
We will gather over a warm bowl of soup and conversation. We'll share the highlights of our AGM Report, and then hand the floor to a very special guest.
Dr. Tamara McIntyre is joining us from Victoria. She's a retired clinician, certified end-of-life doula, educator, coffin weaver, cyclist, and all-around warm human. You can learn more about her on website: consciousdeath.org. She'll talk about why it matters to openly discuss death, the challenges of bringing ancient practices into modern life, and how we can meet our own deaths with more knowledge and equanimity.
This event is generously supported by the Cortes Island Community Foundation, and is offered free of charge. Child care is provided. Contributions to the Collective are warmly welcomed.
