Dance Temple
We are truly lucky to welcome two world class musicians to Cortes this summer on their west coast tour sharing breathwork and ecstatic Dance. This is one not to miss as this caliber of artistry rarely performs on our little island. Join us for an evening of breathwork, dance and cacao in a truly unforgettable experience.

Liquid Bloom is the visionary world-electronic project of Amani Friend, cofounder of Desert Dwellers and curator of the Desert Trax label. Emerging in the late 1990s from explorations in music for healing modalities, Liquid Bloom has since evolved into a globally celebrated fusion of world instrumentation, transcendent vocals, and modern electronic production. The project has appeared on festival stages around the world including Boom, Ozora, Envision, Rainbow Serpent, Dreamersland, and Colours of Ostrava. Moving seamlessly between deep ambient journeys, downtempo grooves, and ecstatic dancefloor experiences, Liquid Bloom performances invite audiences into an immersive shared experience where ancient traditions and modern sound design meet in rhythm, movement, and collective resonance.

Alex King-Harris — aka Rara Avis — is a musician, breathwork facilitator, and movement guide with 25+ years at the intersection of breath, sound, and embodiment. Classically and jazz-trained, his path led into ethnomusicology and electronic production, where he helped shape the sound of Desert Dwellers, Shamans Dream, and Liquid Bloom, and released work on Six Degrees Records — crafting soundscapes designed to deepen consciousness and embodiment practices worldwide. Before production, Alex studied intensive pranayama with traditional teachers and apprenticed in therapeutic applications of breath and sound for cancer patients — experiences that crystallized his understanding of music as medicine.
