We have some exciting news to share. The Support Our Seniors Society was succesful in their application to secure New Horizons for Seniors funding for the Cortes Island Healthy Aging Project which will offer a variety of programs for seniors including:

• Strong Bodies Series ( Move & Mobility Classes, Strong Back, Balance & Strength, Healthy Joints, Fall Prevention etc)
• Dementia Support
• Dementia Workshop
• Elder Abuse Workshop (including financial)
• Digital Literacy
• Wellness Groups
• Death Care Collective neighbourhood education partnership
• Community Lunches partnership

The Cortes Island Healthy Aging Project is Funded by the Government of Canada's New Horizons for Seniors Program

Our regular Better at Home Program continues as well.
This program is subsidy based on household income and subsidy is provided on a sliding scale.
