The Strathcona Regional District is governed by a 14-member Board of directors, meaning a quorum consists of 8 members.
The board comprises:
Nine municipal directors appointed by their respective councils (Campbell River, Gold River, Sayward, Tahsis, Zeballos, and electoral area representatives).
One Treaty First Nations director appointed by the Treaty First Nation.
Four electoral area directors representing the district's electoral areas.
