CDART - Autumn
CDART/ESS Presents:
Animal Emergency Preparedness Workshop!

Join us Monday May 4th 10am-12pm at Gorge Hall for a 2-hour workshop designed to support you in becoming prepared for large-scale emergencies with your animals - pets and livestock!

In this workshop we will:
- Discuss how to best prepare your animals for emergencies before they happen

- Review how to create an Emergency Kit & Grab n' Go Kit for your animals

- Share information and review available resources to create an Emergency Plan

- Run through some case-scenarios in groups

There are many ways we can become prepared for large scale emergencies; such as a wildfire, flood, earthquake, etc. In this workshop, we will support each other in getting prepared (mentally and physically) for the worst case scenarios, before they ever happen.

Being equipped can make a disaster feel less overwhelming. The more resourced we are as individuals, the more resilient we are as a community!

Come with questions, curiosities, ideas, a notebook and a pen! There will be tea, coffee and muffins to enjoy while we work.

Our local Canadian Animal Disaster Response Team (CDART) meets and trains monthly in order to be able to support our community during a disaster and to prepare for one. We have created a community questionnaire in which we request your participation so that we can better serve our community when our support is most needed! Please fill out this form.
