Dear Cortesians
As many of you know it's Earth Day, April 22
So much to be grateful for, our gratitude is sometimes beyond words yet so very close to our hearts.
Grief too can fill our hearts and often it is much harder to articulate than being grateful.
Here is a very recent attempt:
Grieving For Gaia
Spring shed a tear
for the Winter that wasn’t
and my heart felt pain accrue
A thought becomes fear
I can’t say it doesn't
then sadness cuts right through
So many here
love our Mother Earth
and feel for her losses true
Come gather near
let us praise her worth
and Grieve together too

In our Community Grief Tending weekend coming up on May 2, Grief As Medicine Song As Vessel, all are welcome in the sharing of whatever they are grieving.
Francis Weller, who wrote the remarkable book The Wild Edge of Sorrow, recently mentioned in a Podcast that when he started Grief Tending Weekends in the late Nineties 10% of the attendees were grieving for Gaia and now it's often 50% !!!
He wrote in the same book about the 5 Gates Of Grief. Some say there are even more Gates than that.
The point here is that on May 2 at Linnaea Farm we, as Community, will sing our hearts open and everyone's Grief, for whatever reason, will be heard and welcomed.
Donna Dryer, Bianca Lee, Isabelle Laplante and I will be Co-Facilitating.
Registration closes at the end of day on April 24th so our gracious Cook knows how many folks to make lunch for.
If you want to Register E-Transfer $50 to me, Dancing Wolf, at 1hearttelus.net.
