CCHA Family Support - Desta
Emergency First Aid is a welcoming, hands-on course designed to help you feel prepared and confident when it matters most.

Equivalent to WorkSafeBC/CSA Z1210-17 Basic,this course meets workplace requirements while focusing on practical, real-life skills you can trust.

Through guided practice in a supportive environment, you’ll learn how to respond calmly and effectively in emergencies. The training covers essential lifesaving techniques like CPR, AED use, and how to help someone with a blocked airway—for adults, children, and infants.

You’ll also gain the knowledge to recognize and respond to common emergencies such as asthma attacks, allergic reactions, heart attack, stroke, and bleeding. By the end, you’ll walk away with not just skills, but the confidence to step in and help when it truly counts.

Certificate valid for 3 years: Emergency First Aid with CPR-C / WorkSafeBC Basic First Aid

100% attendance is required to receive your certificate.

Temporary certification cards provided at course completion. Permanent cards issued by Lifesaving BC via email (1-2 weeks delay).
